The privilege of a human being

Psalm 8: 4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Hebrews 2: 6 But there is one who has testified: What is man that you think of him, or the son of man, that you look at him?

Man is perfected by God, just like the angels. Just as the whole creation is actually perfected by God. Yet, man has a privileged position. Humanity was created in God's image, which shows that God truly saw human being the crown on His creation. He wanted to create something special, the cream on the cake, people with his own will to serve him.

But it was a bit different! Man made sin own and chose against God. And from then on there is a tear between God and man. The same happened to angels, for in heaven there were angels rebelled against God. They were extinguished and now they work with satan, their leader. And yet there is a real difference between man and the angels. For man gave God His Son, so that the tear can be restored. That's not for the angels, they are sentenced to hell.

But we must cash that privileged position! We must accept God's Son as Savior, because He has come to earth to die for sin. He came to us, to you and me. He still comes to us, through His Spirit but with His reconciling blood. That privileged position asks you to make a choice: Do you want to belong to God or not? God's Spirit wants to help you make the right choice.

And when we have been taken to His children again, then you know. I was bound, but now I'm free. I was addicted to sin, written dead forever, but then Jesus came to you and gave you freedom. He gave Himself for you. Then we can use that special position with God in the right way. We may live to His glory, from love to Him and from gratefulness to the Son. Then you can sing: I have a song that the angels can not sing: I was a sinner, but I have been saved. What a lovely and great God! Glory hallelujah!

The God of Your Life

Exodus 6: 6 6 I will take you to my people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the Lord who guides you from the Egyptian's forced labor.

Many people who do not know God personally have no idea who He is. They have an image of a divorced God or a judging God. But many churchmen also have a skewed image of God, they have no realization of who God is. But who is he actually then? And why do you want God in your life?

God is angry with sin, absolutely. But God is also full of mercy for the people who commit sin. God does not just let you go on this earth, but He wants to give you love and mercy. God cares for His children, He loves His children. Even though we do not always see a way out, God is there, and will eventually give a way. Just like the Israelites in Egypt.

And when you allow God in your life, once you have surrendered your life to Him, you will experience who He is. God is the one who knows every step in your life, leading every step of your life. And if we do not see a way, God makes a way. He does not let you over your destiny, but leads you to His hand. And then it can sometimes be dark, but God is there! He is next to you, for you, behind you and around you.

Perhaps you have many questions about God, maybe you hide yourself from God or do not want to know anything about Him. You may even be afraid of God. You can drown in it and see God no more. The questions suck you at Him, the fear crushed you. But that's not necessary at all, because God loves you. He wants to give you His love and mercy. He sees you from heaven and knows you through it. He wants to be the God of your life!

And when He is the God of your life, then only you will learn to see who He truly is. He is the one for you who knows every step and goes for you. He is the one that surrounds you day and night and in happy and sad times, in easy and difficult times. God is with you and He never lets you loose. Then you can let the next song of the #castingcrowns work on you and sing!

No other Name but Jesus

Matthew 17: 5 While he was still speaking, behold, a shining cloud shone them; And behold, a voice from the cloud said, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am pleased; Listen to him

When we take our mind into the moment of glorification on the mountain, as described in our text, we can only do one thing: join the disciples on our knees and worship Jesus. God here raises His Own Son and declares Him His love. If God so rises, we should not do that?

For this Jesus the Son of God came to earth to save people. To die for our sins so that we can be reconciled to God again. There is no other name in the world than Jesus. There have been many great people in history and we all know them, but they all died. But the One who lives forever. He sits on the throne of God to pray for His children and to prepare.

Jesus loves people, He wants to save them all. He is the highest King, for He has defeated the great enemy. His subjects have the greatest King to think about. But not only, He is also the great Doctor. He heals the sick and even gives His own Spirit to be cleansed of the most serious illness: sin. Jesus cares for His subjects with inexhaustible love.

There is nobody else on who we could hope for. Do you hope for him? Maybe you have never done that, then you can do that now. Maybe you lost it, then it's time to return. For He is worth the one Name on earth. Nothing is more glorious than seeing Him than hearing from Him and filling you with His love.

Worship Jesus and be filled with His love!

Seeing upon Jesus

Matthew 9: 6 But that you will know that the Son of Man has power to forgive sins on earth (then He said to the paralyzed): Get up, take your bed and go to your house.

Why can we always see people on our own? At times we get into trouble or if it's completely countered, we'll forget about everything. When sickness or mourning comes on our way, we tend to creep in our shell. As we were, we were getting deeper into the well. And even we do not even get out of it. That's also true in faith, when we see ourselves and try it all, it becomes a drama. We need the Spirit of God to be blessed and we must settle our eyes on Christ.

Just like the crippled man against whom Jesus says, your sins are forgiven. The people around Jesus accuse Him of blasphemy. But Jesus shows who He is. He does not only forgive his sins but also heals his illness. The man then walks away, with healthy legs and above all forgiven sins!

Thus, we must establish our eyes on Jesus. Jesus is the One who sees our pain, who knows us sorrow, who knows us through and over. We can see Him to take away our pain, we can hide with Him if we are having trouble and He will be near us. After all, he has all the power!

It is great to know Jesus and to know that we can put everything down to Him!
